As we’ve previously talked about on this web site, 2014 marks the 50th birthday of Unikko, Marimekko’s most famously satisfied, poppy-laden print. To fete the occasion, the Finnish brand has a launched a series of pop-up events worldwide, from New York to Hong Kong—but, understandably, has saved its loftiest venture for Helsinki. Could anything else on Marimekko’s celebratory agenda possibly best this flowery piece of airborne magic? Not a chance, we say.
