Although, Roxanne + Juan met in high school, they only started dating 2 years afterwards when they met up again. Juan proposed on his 25th birthday get-together. He called everyone in attendance together, thanked them for coming and then turned to me, knelt on one knee and said ” Rox, we’;ve been together for 6 years now, and I would like to spend many more with you, will you marry me?”.

‘One of the out-of-the-ordinary things that happened was one of my friends, whom I moved to Johannesburg with, surprised me at the wedding. I thought she wasn’;t able to make it, and she was the first person I saw when I walked down the isle. Was so amazing and special.’;

‘All my life I have loved the colour grey and white. I am a very simple person, and love things that look clean and tidy. I also love how crisp the greenery from the flowers looked, with the grey backgrounds. The theme came from my favourite quote “Every love story is beautiful, but ours is my favourite” So we went with the love story theme. We brought in books for décor, made the love story wall with all the guests wedding photo’;s, and the table gifts were note pads with wooden pencils tied in a bow.’;

There were personalised wine bottles on the tables, with a message thanking the guests. The mother of the bride made place mats by just printing the guests name on them as well as coasters that read “Please don’;t take my drink, I’;m dancing”. Small champagne bottles were spray painted with silver glitter and used as décor.
